Maine Startup and Create Week takes place in downtown Portland, Maine, less than 100 miles north of Boston. Daytime MSCW events will take place at Maine College of Art (MECA), 522 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101. Social events and affiliate events take place throughout the city.

Portland is compact and highly walkable. Uber, Lyft and local cab service is available.

Getting Here
Portland’s PWM airport provides quick and convenient access to MSCW. Or, you may fly into Boston’s Logan airport and take a Concord Coach Line bus to Portland.

Delta Airlines and United Airlines both offer special discounts for MSCW attendees. Details will be emailed to you after you buy your MSCW ticket.

Concord Coach Lines offers regular service to Portland from Boston, New York, Bangor and other locations in the northeast. There is service to and from Logan airport nearly every hour, and the trip takes about two hours. The Concord Coach Lines buses offer free Wi-Fi.

Local Logistics

Conference Location: Maine College of Art (MECA)
All core sessions, lightning workshops, mixpos and keynotes will be held at MECA, located at 522 Congress St., Portland, Maine.

Badge Pickup
All badges will be available for pick-up at MECA, Monday thru Friday 8:30-4:30 p.m. in the main lobby.

Free parking is available, compliments of Unified Parking Partners, on a first-come, first-served basis. The Garage is located at the corner of Brown St. and Cumberland Ave. Use the address 353 Cumberland Avenue, Portland in your GPS. Parking in this garage is available 7:00am – 6:30pm. Do NOT park past 6:30pm! Garage management will handle parking validation

Keynote “fireside chats” happen each day during the lunch hour in the MECA café. Lunch service starts at 12 noon, and once everyone is served the keynote will start.

Lunch is included as part of your weekly or daily pass. The lunches feature locally-sourced, healthy fare and gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.

The MECA cafe will also be open throughout the day for snacks to be purchased. Complimentary coffee will be available throughout the day courtesy of Coffee by Design.
